Job Information

The Local Fry is seeking team members that are interested in learning about different foods. The Local Fry is a restaurant that serves fresh cut french fry dishes topped with unique gourmet toppings along with salads, sandwiches, rice bowls and wings.

We are looking for people who are friendly, outgoing, confident, a self-starter, dependable and detail-oriented. Key responsibilities include greeting customers in the restaurant, taking and ringing up orders, handling payment and thanking customers. You’ll also prepare and store food ingredients, check to make sure food orders are correct before going to the customer, package products, and maintain a clean, safe work and dining environment.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Greeting customers and helping them understand the menu and their options.

Taking orders, selling product and working with the back of the house to fulfill orders promptly.

Follow all cash handling procedures Keep the front of the house clean, well stocked, and organized.

Comply with all applicable health and sanitation procedures and adhere to safe work practices.

Answer the phone quickly and with excellent phone etiquetteSupport the restaurant team.

Respond well to coaching from management

 

Requirements for consideration:

At least one year of continuous employment with the same company in the food business. Excellent communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team; ability to communicate effectively with customers (fluent in English) Ability to follow instructions and proceduresAbility to sell proactively. Effective time management skills. Strong work ethic and integrity. Available for flexible scheduling, including nights, late nights and weekends. A minimum of two professional references. Previous front end restaurant experience preferred. Retail and/or culinary experience is a plus but not necessary. This is a job with room for growth. We look forward to hearing from you!
